Our original music, hard rock band's members
"POWERTRIP" has been a work "in progress" for many years. Although members have changed, and the music has matured; the basic premise, the core, and fundamental ideals of the group have remained intact.
The "theme", as it were, is simple: To create, and perform the best "Rock and Roll" music possible.
These are all individuals that bring their style of music to life, while performing, or in their writing.
The band began in when Tom and Robert entered High School. The friendship began a working musical collaboration that has lasted to this day. Many members came, and went, until Robert’s younger brother, Eric, joined as Bass player. His presence, and enthusiasm electrified the Band’s live performances, and brought a new energy into the group.
It was apparent that POWERTRIP’s musical capacity could be expanded with the addition of Robin Black on vocals. His vocal range and unique melodic ability gave POWERTRIP a new dimension not yet explored.
The newest member of the group, Riko Perez, rounded out the entire picture, with his talent on drums. He is the stabilizing factor to the music. His ability to find the "perfect rhythm" for each song is unsurpassed in the band’s long history. Each member brings to POWERTRIP his individual skills, and tastes, but together they form one very powerful, and unified group.
After all is said and done, in order to really appreciate this band, just listen.
